Three common tools used in fiber optic works

We need specific tools to do specific fiber optic works. There are three common tools which are used very ofen in the fiber optic area.

The first tool is a Crimping Tool. It is designed to crimp or connect a connector to the end of a cable. For example, network cables and phone cables are created using a crimping tool to connect the RJ-45 and RJ-11 connectors to the end of the cable. It can bend, cut, strip and crimp insulated wiring in a snap. For cable and phone installation specialists, a handy crimp tool can cut and strip electrical wiring in a few seconds. As the best fiber optic communication supplier, Fiberstore supplies a wide variety of specialized crimping tools which are all at a very competitive price to help you get the job done right. Here is one of them.

(1)These professional models provide smooth motion and precision fit with key way in 8P modular holder.

(2)Modular holders are made of AL-ZN alloy for light weight and durability.

(3)Suitable for both stranded and solid wire (UTP/STP).

(4)This is a ruggedly made tool and is excellent for network installers.

The second is a Fiber Optic Cutter. It is a Fiber Optic Kevlar Cutter which is made of high carbon steel specially treated for long life and trouble free cuts on Kevlar strength members in fiber optic cables. With the characters of lightweight and compact, these cutters have a full-serrated edge for consistent, fast and clean cuts. Here is one of them.

The last is a Punch Down Tool. Most copper networks are built using twisted-pair cable. Twist-pair cables are terminated in jacks, cross-connect blocks, or patch panels. The termination is done with a tool known as punch down tool. There are two main types of punch down tools: the 66-block and the 110-block. The 66-block is mostly used in cross-connect blocks for voice cross-connects. The 110-block is now generic in usage and is a newer design by AT and T. 110-Block is most used for data network, although it is not absolutely so. Here is one of them.
